How an HRV works:

Stale air from the kitchen and bathrooms flows:
  • Through exhaust grills and ductwork into the HRV. (1)
  • Through a washable filter. (2)
  • Through the HRV heat transfer core. (3)
  • The exhaust air fan quietly moves the stale air through an outdoor hood to the outside. (4)
Fresh Outdoor Air flows:
  • Through an outdoor hood into the HRV. (5)
